So as the Summer makes its welcome return after what feels like an age, I head out to the White Isle to experience some seriously sun-drenched parties whilst supplying that unmistakable & magnetic 4/4 House music soundtrack to some of the most gorgeous clubbers in the world…Welcome to one long hot summer!!
Well where do we start, it’s been a while hasn’t it! Apologies for not updating you Funkers with news for a while, the last 2 months have been absolutely mad, in fact May saw a record number of bookings! Thanx for all the support peeps, and to every1 who sacrificed the comfort of their feet to rock off that little bit harder to Joshy boy! As always there’s been some very memorable Parties, those that deserve special mentions for being that little extra bit off the wall have to be The Bucks uni Summer ball, Oxford Brookes Summer Ball, Ministry Clubbers guide @ UWS, Paisley, CTRL with The Utah Saints @ Herts uni & Cut up boys @ Reading Uni, all of which were full of gorgeous, up for it clubbers jumping and smiling :)
This month I head to Ibiza for the 1st 3 weeks to confirm my Summer residencies and play some guest sets, I then fly back in to throw down at 2 very special Ministry of Sound clubbers guide parties @ Oceana in Leeds and Incognito in Swindon, then straight back out to the White isle as the season starts to kick in to full swing. Really can’t wait peeps, hope your ready for a mad one!!
Now I barely ever have to report on anything negative but one thing that has concerned me lately is the rumour going round recently that I cancelled on an event in Mauritius back in December last year. Just to clear something up and this is from me and ALL of my management; I have not ‘Cancelled’ on any promoters…well ever in my career so far!! The reason why I wasn’t there was because I hadn’t been booked! If you hear this rumour or any like it, please report them to me via my Facebook, it’s stuff like this that can give a DJ a bad name and in this case it is completely unjustified. Its very unprofessional of the promoter involved…shame on you or on whoever started the rumour!
Now back to the good stuff :)
The Radio
Essential House continues to provide only the freshest and down right tastiest house music to your ears each and every week, with lots of big name special guests touching down on the show it’s not hard to see why last month over 1.2 million listeners tuned in! For all those that don’t know already, u can catch my guest mix podcasted every month via the site and facebook group, thanx to all those that tune in on a regular basis, don’t forget to get your shouts in and let us know where u’ll be rocking off. This months mix is in fact my Ibiza Soundsystem mix so will be a special uninterrupted 80 minute session. Have to give a big Holla to Radio Sharm who will start networking the show as of next month…Hopppaaaaa!!
The Tunes
Tunes that have favoured the front of my box have been the likes of Ercola & Heiki L - Deep at night (Adam K & Soha remix), Roger Sanchez – Release yourself, Pryda – Sweet Genesis, Deadmau5 – Arguru, Sandy Vee – Bleep & not forgetting me & RPM’s cheeky re-rub of ‘The way 2008’ all of which have been causing a frenzy of activity on simply the most Glam dancefloors around the world….And not forgetting the old skool number, one that makes its welcome return to the box this month is the brilliant Big Room girl – Raise your hands, a tune that’s guaranteed to do just that!
